Stepfamily Association of Finland (Finnish Supli) offers support and information for stepfamilies and professionals working with them. Supli (founded in 1996) is a nationwide expert and non-governmental organization, which aims to promote the wellbeing of stepfamilies in Finland. Supli is active in promoting an equal, child and family friendly society.

ABOUT OUR WORK

SUPPORT FOR STEPFAMILIES
Central part of our work are the various courses we offer for couples face to face and online, to support and to strengthen the (romantic) relationship between the adults in a stepfamily. The mentors in our courses are always trained by Supli and they live in stepfamilies themselves, offering peer support to the participants. We also do advocacy work, offer phone counselling and legal advice for free in collaboration with a law firm.

EDUCATION
For the professionals in the field of social services, health and education Supli offers both short on-target training and a yearlong professional Stepfamily counsellor training™, which is 30 ECTS course supported by the Social and Health Ministry of Finland.

NETWORKING
Supli has wide networks around Finland. We co-work with the local associations, public social and health services, different family associations as well as with researchers and clinical experts in the field of child and family wellbeing nationally and globally,
